| Description: | Atlas Machine & Supply, Inc., a 103 year old industrial machinery repair company is seeking a career minded professional welder to take the lead in our Cincinnati Weld Shop. We are in need of a highly skilled and experienced welder and will pay top wages for the right mix of skills, experience and ability. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of five years welding experience with MIG, TIG and ARC welding; experience with full penetration alloy processes and submerged-arc overlays. Job Responsibilities: · From blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or samples determine the dimensions and tolerances to establish the sequence of operations and set up requirements before welding the workpiece. · Measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points as guides for welding. · Calculates and sets controls for rotation speed, travel speed, tip angle, preheat and postheat. · Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment and tests operation. · Performs field and shop tear down and rebuild of industrial machine tools prior to and after welding process. Educational Requirements, Skills and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent, · Minimum 5 years welding experience with MIG, TIG, Arc welding, and hand welding. Job shop experience is desired. · Industrial machinery weld repair experience including experience with full penetration alloy processes and submerged-arc overlays is desirable. This is an hourly position for which the pay will be based on the skills and abilities of the successful candidate (top pay for top experience). 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM – 3:30PM.
