At ATLAS Machine & Supply, precision has always been at the core of what we do. As customer demands continue to grow across heavy industry, manufacturing, and field service applications, ATLAS is continuing to invest in the tools and technology needed to deliver accurate, reliable, and efficient solutions in the field.

To support that commitment, ATLAS has invested more than $500,000 into advanced metrology technology from API Metrology, including four API Radian Laser Trackers and wireless probing systems for our Field Services division.

The investment significantly expands ATLAS’ metrology capabilities and reinforces our ability to provide high-precision measurement, alignment, and inspection services directly at customer sites.

API’s Radian Laser Trackers are portable, high-accuracy measurement systems designed for large-scale industrial applications where precision is critical. Using advanced laser interferometry technology, the systems can accurately measure and inspect components across large working areas while maintaining micron-level accuracy.

These systems are commonly used across industries such as steel, heavy manufacturing, energy, aerospace, automotive, and machine tool applications for services including:

  • Equipment and machinery alignment
  • Dimensional inspection and verification
  • Large component measurement
  • Reverse engineering applications
  • Machine calibration
  • Assembly verification and positioning
  • On-site metrology support during installations and repairs

The addition of API’s wireless vProbe technology further expands ATLAS’ capabilities by allowing technicians to capture precise measurements in difficult-to-access areas and on complex geometries directly in the field.

For ATLAS Field Services, this technology creates new opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce setup and inspection time, and deliver higher levels of accuracy on critical industrial projects. Portable laser tracker systems also allow measurements and verification work to be completed on-site, minimizing downtime and reducing the need to move large equipment or components off location.

The investment aligns with ATLAS’ continued focus on expanding advanced technical services while supporting customers with modern solutions that improve reliability, precision, and operational performance.

As manufacturing and industrial environments continue to evolve, ATLAS remains committed to investing in the people, technology, and capabilities needed to support the industries we serve.
